conventional farming uses industrial fertilizers and pesticides, while organic farming does not. “Natural” fertilizers such as manure and some plant derived pesticides are OK but the idea is to be completely ‘chemical’ free.

conventional farming may include the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides. organic farming involves the use of natural sources of fertilizers and pesticides, that can be achieved either by application of the latter two originated from natural sources ex: manure or by using practices that help imporve soil fertility and resistance to pests such as crop rotation. the goal is to achieve a product that is free of chemical and possibly hazardous (to human health) substances.
