I think # 2 Diesel is the petro-diesel that you can get at your truck stop and so is your biodiesel. But i can't find information on the farm grade diesel fuel. There can't be that much of a difference in the tractor diesel engine when compared to your Cummins/Duramax. Because all diesels rely on compression-ignition to run.

My Dad's Ford 3000 diesel farm tractor has a lot of wear and tear on it and plenty of blow by. We've had trouble starting it recently and we believe it's because it's lost a lot of it's compression. We went to pull it off today with our other tractor and when he popped the clutch and had it turning the engine oil from the filter system came gushing out of the air intake all over the hood. We can't figure out what would have caused this or why the oil came up the air intake tube. Thanks

I have a farm tractor with 18.4" x 34" steel rear wheel rims. One of the rims has begun to leak around the valve stem area. The tires are liquid filled and utilize rim clamped dualsso the mating surface is quite rusty. I would like to repair the leak without having to remove the wheel, dismounting the tire etc.

I am considering removing the surface rust around the leaking area, from the outside, and applying JB Weld to the area. I think it would be wise to deflate the tire so the pressure would not be forcing the JB Weld out of place. I have also rotated the wheel so the valve stem is at the top position to keep the liquid from contaminating the area.

Anyone ever used JB weld or a similar two part epoxy cold weld product in a similar application?

I was driving through the countryside yesterday and got stuck behind a very tall tractor/piece of farm equipment that was moving down the road. It was very tall, tall enough that an average sized person could stand under it, I remember thinking that you could ride a bike under it or maybe even a little car like a Mini Cooper or something. Four large and obviously tall tires. And it was a little wider than one lane but not by much, it was a little off the side of the road but not much. It had a rectangular shaped body that sat on top but I couldn't exactly see the operator. What is this piece of machinery called and what is it used for? Thanks!
