Where can I get an antique john deere tractor?
Steve W asked:
My uncle has a farm in kansas and has been wanting to get an old john deere tractor. I guess about a 1950 or so like the one on green acres. I dont want to pay a lot cause i think it would be more for show with him. thanks

There are numerous places to find an old JD. First; try the local tractor repair shop. Also, lots of salvage and in need of restoration projects at tractor salvage yards. Start watching the auction listings or call some of the local farm auction houses to be added to their mailing list. Get in contact with the local Antique Tractor Association in your area.
Just need to keep your eyes open for that opportunity. They’re out the there, we have two working tractors from the 40’s.
How about Craigslist? I just saw an add there for the 28th that had a John Deere MT3500 out of Roxbury. Another had a front end loader out of Topeka on the 4th-Model 1020. Now this was just a looksee at a couple places out there. Happy Shopping Mr. Douglas ;D
Green Acres? Man i watch that when i was a kid.
Anyway, my dad buys a lot of his tractor parts at used-field-tractors.com. I looked on there and they have 1950’s 60′ and newer on there so maybe look there.
I suggest you try ebay store at
they have lots of jhon deere tractors there
Good luck
