Will it be worth to buy a home which is constructed on agriculture land?
AD asked:
Will it be worth to buy a home which is constructed on agriculture land? Generally farmers put chemicals on agricultural land. Will the water which we use in the house would have tresses of pesticides or chemicals in it?

It’s better than getting a home built on a landfill!
If this homes water supply comes from a well, it wouldn’t hurt to get the water tested for chemicals. I looked at a home one time that was located next to an orchard that dated back 100 years and a history of aerial cropdusting, and it was a good buy. I told a nurse friend about the property, and she said both the husband and the wife had died from a rare cancer. I’m not sure your fears are unrealistic; on the other hand, every piece of land had some use before a new house is built, wherever that occurs. I’d like to hope that most agricultural chemicals break down eventually with sunlight, rain, and age. I don’t think this would stop me from buying this home, but I would check the well, if there is one.
