Why do poor countries work best on agriculture than rich countries?
daboon man!...x asked:
My only reason is because rich countries have bigger farms and they use machineries which reduce the number of people working in farms.
My only reason is because rich countries have bigger farms and they use machineries which reduce the number of people working in farms.
but i still don't understand why poor countries have a very high percente on working on agriculture, it's like as big as 90 percent and then rich countries like the uk and usa's percentage is as small as 2
see a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!

Likely because poorer countries typically have an abundance of labor population(s) and farms are either labor intensive or are one of the few ‘industries that can be managed with labor as a alternate to technology.
What do YOU think.. ?
.
This is for many reasons! First of all many poor countries do not have as much arable land (good farmland) as the devoloped countries, therefore more work. Also, there are not as many people who want to farm rich countries, everyone wants a job that pays well and they have to do as little as possible, as a matter of fact in rich countries there is a shortage of farmers. The final reason is that is is much easier in poor countries to farm, because you can have your own food, and you don’t need lots of education. That’s basiclly why the labour in agricultre is so high in devoloping countries.
