I’m not sure if you asked the same question “locations of major industries and agriculture in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India” for Bangladesh too!
Anyway, let me inform you that Bangladesh itself is considered a big village with agricultural land spread all over it except for Chittagong Hill Tracts (Ctg HT). So, agro-based industries are spread almost all over the country, which are mostly cottage industry in nature. Other industries are heavily concentrated in Dhaka, Chittagong (Ctg), Khulna and some in Rajshai divisions among the 6 divisions we have. Sylhet and Barisal are almost devoid of mentionable industries, though Sylhet is famous for Tea gardens.
In Dhaka division the industries are in Narayanganj, Tejgaon, Savar, Tongi, Gazipur, Demra and such suburbs. There are two Export Processing Zones (EPZ) in Dhaka; one is located in Savar and another in Narayanganj (under development).
In Chittagong there are EPZ (CEPZ) and KEPZ (for Korean – under development). Besides these there are heavy industrial complexes in Ctg like Karnaphully Paper Mills & Kaptai Hydro-electric Generator (both in Ctg HT), Ctg Urea Fertilizer Ltd., KAFCO, TSP Complex, Chemical Complex, Eastern Refinery, Dry Dock, Ctg Seaport etc.
In Khulna there were Khulna Newsprint Mill, Khulna Hardboard Mill, Barge Mounted Power Plant and many Jute Mills which are sick and being denationalized. Khulna has lost its glory of being industrial city after years of losing governments money to pay for the produce which were not economically viable due to lack of proper management as well as non-cooperative labor unions, as major cause of disruption.
In Rajshahi there are a few cottage industries, mostly dealing with Silk and such fabric materials which do not have much impact on national GDP, but nurtured more as our cultural icons – Rajshai Silk Sarees.
Sorry that I could not be of much help to you on other countries and hope you could start with the Map and use Google & Yahoo search engines to find more details.
Good Luck with your project.
